Nursing Jobs : How Much Money Does a Nurse Make?

If u only think about money then dun go for nursing! Do u actually know what nursing is? Dun get fool with the TV drama, in reality it’s different. I suggest u to do a research or volunter in a hospital to have an idea of what nursing is.

Depends on what state you are and yes your yrs of experience. Here in California RNs can make between $30-$60 an hour plus incentives of time and a half or double. An RN at the bedside can make >$100,000 a yr is she works more overtime.

I wouldn’t even bother going to school if it was for $7 an hour! I made $7 working at DQ when I was 14! Im 22 now! And I was looking up job posts and the offering wage for a practical nurse here is $19-27. I’m not sure about an RN’s starting wage.
But where I live we have one of the best PN programs in Canada its basically like the old Rn program I herd, Its two yrs in length.

No it is not gay for a guy to be a nurse. You just have to be able to deal with the things they don’t tell you outright when you sign up for a program. (The smells,sights, punching, etc etc etc)

im a guy and i have a gf who wants to be a nurse. Now as for me im a graphic designer and thats low on the charts now for graphic designers making money with this messed up economy. Is it gay for a guy to become a nurse as well? i really dont give a shit if i get made fun of cause i know its good money.. shall i go for it?

an LPN $7 an hour? Thats crazy.. don’t want to go to the area shes at! In my area it’s a lot higher.

hey how much did they start you off at as a CNA?

i just entered the nursing program here in sc and they told me that i would be making anywhere from 28-33 hr plus being male that i would most likely make more than that

well my wife is goig to college in longview texas to be a LVN then go for RN for one she can be LVN faster to get a job and finish RN doing that time and i know for fact she wil be making 30k+ a year for LVN

RN in Austin TX and if you hustle and work your butt off doing overtime in clinical setting u can make over $80,000/yr if u have experience but u have to work your A*S OFF!!!

She is right about the 7 dollars. When I started as an LVN, I made 10/hr. But it was a starting point to my nursing career. A yr later I became an RN and went to a different hospital. Along with experience and being an RN, I got hired @ 32.50/hr with night differential. Don’t hate on LVN’s, its a great way to start, much better than “medical assistant”.

LVN’s @ my job fresh out of school make $20 an hour so $7 isn’t even worth it…because i’m a CNA and I make more than that. That’s why i’m going for my RN they start off @ $29-33 at the hospital here in the Central Valley in California

I am a LPN and I made $18.00 a hr. as a GPN fresh out of school so you KNOW she is very wrong.

Lpns here don’t make minimum wage which is 7.30 here. The average here is like between 11 -18 dollars. Ohio

for all the BS the lpn’s have to put up with, they make as little as 7 an hour? what a crock. they should make at least 15 to 30. they bust their asses!!

The $7 is starting out the $22 is if you have been in the profession awhile. like 20 years.
